Abstract

The main purpose of this study was investigating rural carpet-weaving women’s problems in Hamadan Province. The population of the study included all rural carpet-weaving women residing in Hamedan Province. 163, through stratified sampling, were selected as the sample of the study. The face validity of the questionnaire was verified by a panel of experts, who also determined the reliability of the questionnaire, based on Cranach’s Alpha Coefficient (0.87%). In data analysis part of this study, Factor Analysis method was used in order to achieve key elements and factors. Based on Factor Analysis, 6 factors were obtained. Results showed that rural carpet-weaving women' problems could be classified in six categories or factors. The first factor, called economical and financial factor explained 15.46 percent of variance as the most important problem. The first factor accompanied by health problems, educational, social - cultural, personal and supportive problems could explain 50.71 percent of the total variance. Finally, according to results of the study, some recommendations have been suggested.
